Quarter one of 2020 closed under lockdown, as COVID-19 drove the global landscape into new and isolated chaos. In this novel era, even the most skilled communicators have struggled with how to stay engaged with their communities, as morning headlines and nightly broadcasts highlight death counts, a new measurement that’s rapidly ascending across the globe. The ability to connect has never been more admirable or needed. As marketing and sales groups begin navigating our rapidly-changing landscape, communicators must take a measured and delicate approach. We all hope that a time will come when consumers emerge to normal, but data-driven marketers understand that scenario is extremely unlikely. Everything is scrambled. Old playbooks are obsolete. The world is embarking on a marathon that will take many months or years to actualize; as we collectively re-invent the future, innovation and entrepreneurship are needed more than ever.
In the final quarter of 2019, New Brave World was thrilled to officially open ticket sales for Orchestra Nexus and New Nexus Foundation for the Renaissance's The Saint Francis Experience. Our group also announced that we were engaged on behalf of Dubai and Expo 2020 to design a new kind of musical experience called The Transcendence Experience. The concert is currently under review to provide the opening experience for attendees of the World Fair. Nothing is more encouraging for entrepreneurs than seeing years of development come to life. We know the momentum our group is experiencing would not be possible without the incredible support we've received from The United Nations Environment Program, The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, UNESCO, The Vatican and the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, The Vatican section on Ecology and Creation, The Botanical Garden of Rome, The City of Assisi, and the Tourism Group of Italy.
Our team spent the last part of the summer meeting with content producers who’re taking branded content to a whole new level. Fully formed shows soon to release on Netflix, Hulu, and across cable networks are being created where the talent and script literally embody every element of the brand’s marketing persona and were the stars, soon to be mega influencers, are contractually obligated to provide exclusive and extremely brand-safe promotion. A recent case study with a leading CPG marketer indicated that their test season generated over one million dollars ($1,000,000) of earned media coverage at an effective CPM of eight dollars ($8). Amazing.
